The Castle

61 The Castle (Joseph Johnson House) @ Beaufort, SC

This home was built by Joseph Johnson back in 1859. It is almost an exact replica of a house in England that was destroyed during the air raids of World War II. Due to the style of the house it has earned the nickname of “The Castle.” It’s one of my favorite houses I take people by on tour, so I thought I would share a picture of it with you.

The ex-mayor’s house?? I love this house too. But I am still sad that they sold our house. :(

Yeppers, that’s it. The mayor’s family sold it last summer. I have no idea who’s living in it now….I think it was quite unfair that they sold our house without our permission. Silly real estate peopleses.

I suppose that’s not too surprising, since it’s a photography site. I’ll just have to post some more pictures for y’all in the future.
